How I sold my soul to the devilIn all honesty I’m not sure how I feel about writing this post. You see I’ve always been very upfront that in the world of the internet I prefer to buy instead of renting. I’ve built websites for 2 decades & always used open source systems because I’ve wanted my clients to own their sites & have tfull control over them. My preferred option has always been to build websites in wordpress (although way back in the early days of data driven websites I did build a few sites in Joomla). Don’t get me wrong – there are a number of proprietary platforms on the market that are good value for start-ups – Squarespace & WIX come to mind, but I’ve found they are not always complete solutions these days.

A few years ago I started Enterprise by Design because I wanted to give new or young businesses the skills & knowledge to get their online branding & marketing up & running quickly, ready & able to compete online. It’s no secret that my plan was to launch courses & even a membership. I quickly found that I had a whole lot of learning to do to get me up to speed in this expanding world of online learning.

Whatever you are planning to sell – memberships, courses, goods or services there is a plethora of each tool available to confuse you. They all look similar until you know what you don’t know. If you’ve spent anytime here your know that one of my favorite quotes is by Donald Rumsfeld … “There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns.
